Our Story
Awesome Foods was built for households that cook every day and count what they spend.
Everyday food deserves full flavour.
Awesome Foods did not begin in a boardroom. It began with blends, mixed and tasted and adjusted against the meals people already cook: pap and stew, braai meat on the coals, rice, curries, chicken and vegetables. Every product answers a real pot rather than a trend.
The gap we were built for
Shoppers have had two options and neither works. Established names with a unit price that hurts, or loose repacks in clear bags with a handwritten label and no guarantee of what is inside.
Honest
What the pack says is what is in the pack. The net mass is real and the heat level is accurate.
Consistent
Same blend, same taste, every batch. This is the whole reason to buy a brand instead of a repack.
Reachable
Priced and portioned for the cash a shopper has in hand on the day they need it.
What "Botswana made" actually means here
Awesome Foods is a Botswana spice brand: the range is blended and packed in Mogoditshane, Kweneng, and sold across Botswana in sealed 100 g packs. Most of the seasoning on a Botswana shelf is imported. This range is not.
Country of origin is easy to claim and easy to check, so here is exactly what the claim covers and how you can verify each part of it for yourself.
| What we claim | What it means in practice | How you can check it |
|---|---|---|
| Made in Botswana | The range is blended and packed at Plot 9256, Mogoditshane Block 9, Kweneng. | The operating address is published on every page of this site and on the pack. |
| Answered in Botswana | A question about a pack reaches the people who packed it, not an overseas call centre. | Message or call +267 7846 7382 and see who answers. |
| Origin printed, not implied | Country of origin is stated on the pack rather than left for you to work out. | Read the back panel of any pack in the range. |
| One size across the range | Every product is a sealed 100 g pack, so value compares directly from pack to pack. | Compare any two packs on the Range page. |
That is the whole of the claim. Where something is still being documented, such as certification paperwork, it is listed as outstanding on the Certifications page rather than dressed up as settled.
